Over controversy of 'Panama Papers' Founder president of the Non Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) Upendra Mahato has said that he has investment in different continents including Europe, Asia and Africa. Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, Mahato has not given any clarification over 'Panama Papers' which have named him as one of the seven Nepalis who have shares in off-shore companies but made it clear that his earnings are generated from foreign investment. He also claimed that it is legal for Nepalis to invest his/her foreign earnings in any part of the world. Mahato in his statement indirectly said that foreign earning invested in various parts of the world is not corruption. However, his statement doesn't say anything if he has investment in 'tax haven islands' or not.
